چکیده
A structure for joining 6061T6 aluminum alloy tube and AZ31B magnesium shaft via the magnetic pulse crimping process was proposed. The forming process, mechanical properties, failure modes, corrosion behaviors of joint were studied. results showed that enormous Lorentz force drove wall to move towards groove at high velocity, thus realized locking formed joint. Through torsion tests, it found properties with different parameters varied. There two modes joint: torsional separation crack. Specifically, discharge time, angle, energy crack were, respectively, 1, 90°, 28 kJ 3, 25 kJ. maximum torque up 961.99 N·m under discharged twice, 90° 25-kJ energy. neutral salt spray only decreased by 28.03% after 192 h. It indicated resistance good relatively.

Experimental Investigation on the Joining of Aluminum Alloy Sheets Using Improved Clinching Process
Aluminum alloy sheets have been widely used to build the thin-walled structures by mechanical clinching technology in recent years. However, there is an exterior protrusion located on the lower sheet and a pit on the upper sheet, which may restrict the application of the clinching technology in visible areas. In the present study, an improved clinched joint used to join aluminum alloy sheets wa...

This paper first enlists the generic problems of alloy wheel machining and subsequently details on the process improvement of the identified critical-to-quality machining characteristic of A356 aluminum alloy wheel machining process. The causal factors are traced using the Ishikawa diagram and prioritization of corrective actions is done through process failure modes and effects analysis. Proce...
متن کاملResearch on Thermal Process of MIG Welding of Aluminum Alloy with Longitudinal Magnetic Field
In order to study MIG welding process of aluminum alloy with longitudinal magnetic field, thermal efficiency with longitudinal magnetic field was analyzed, as well as softening behavior of heat-affected zone (HAZ) and base metal were investigated. The results showed that under the action of longitudinal magnetic field, welding current decreased and resultingly total heat input reduced as the ex...
متن کاملWelding Aluminum Alloy 6061 with Opposing Dual Torch Gtaw Process
Cracking is a major concern in welding aluminum alloys. Although weld solidification cracks can be eliminated through addition of filler alloy, the additives modify the alloy or base-metal constituents and may not always be desirable. High-energy beam processes, such as electron-beam welding, that result in minimal heat input reduce crack sensitivity, but their high cost limits their applicatio...
متن کاملCast Aluminum Alloy for High Temperature Applications
Originally developed by NASA as high performance piston alloys to meet U.S. automotive legislation requiring low exhaust emission, the novel NASA alloys now offer dramatic increase in tensile strength for many other applications at elevated temperatures from 450°F (232°C) to about 750°F (400°C). It is an ideal low cost material for cast automotive components such as pistons, cylinder heads, cyl...
